Witchy Poo
On October 3, we went to Gardner Village to see the witches. It was fun. We have not been there during October before and the kids loved it. Julia loved going on the scavenger hunt and looking for the witches doing different activities. Her favorite, and the hardest one to find, was the witch hula hooping. Jack loved running around to see all of the witches. But his three favorite things were to dance on the stage, ride on the pony, and eat a pumpkin cookie. Thanks Aunt Ash. We had an awesome time!

Funny Jack
Today, while I was feeding Ben, I realized that Jack was being very quiet. Never a good sign. This is our conversation.
Me: "Jack, what are you doing?"
Jack: "Doing this on my legs."
M: "What does that mean?"
J: "This."
I asked him to come to me and show me. When he came out of his room he had his hand inside the jar of vaseline and had globs of vaseline all up and down his legs. He then told me
J: "I want to exercise, this is for my exercise legs. This is like Ash's exercise legs. For her yoga."
I just had to laugh because I had no idea what he was talking about. Ash, do you lather vaseline on your legs when you exercise and do yoga?!!! Tell me about this new technique, does it work???

Three weeks
Benjamin is three weeks old. He is still such a sweet angel. He rarely cries, just makes little baby sounds when he is hungry. He sleeps a lot yet is alert about 6-8 hours a day. He looks at people and with follow their faces. He loves his family and will stop what ever he is doing when he hears Daddy, Mommy, Julia, or Jack talking to him. He still isn't sleeping through the night but that is expected. He will wake up twice usually around 2:00 am and 5:00 am. He eats about every three hours. At his two week appointment he weighed 8 lbs and 5 oz and was 20 1/4 inches.
I did not keep very good records of Jack when he was a baby so I have decided to do better with Benjamin. This info is for my records but you are welcome to read.
I nurse Ben but Julia wanted to try to feed him.

At 9 days old.

State Fair 2009
We went to the State Fair on Thursday, September 17. It was a fun night. We went with Ashley and Ken. The little kids like to look at the animals, especially the pigs and piglets. The big kids (the adults) like to try the different foods and look at the booths. One thing we did this year that we haven't done for a while was the big yellow slide. It was fun! Jack and Julia loved it so much that we let them do it twice. It was a fun way to spend time with the family and with Aunt Ash and Ken.

Benjamin Buckley Moffat
Welcome to the world Benjamin Buckley Moffat!
He was born on Thursday, September 3, 2009 at 2:50 pm. He weighed 7 lbs 13 oz and was 19 inches long. He is such a sweet heart. He is not a loud baby. He rarely cries and when he does it is more of a soft squeal than a piercing cry. He is perfect. Julia is the best big sister. She just wants to hold and take care of her new baby brother. Jack thinks Benjamin is cool and wants to see him but then would rather play with his toys than sit still and hold him. Benjamin is loved by everyone who sees him. He is our sweet angel.

Kindergarten
My little Julia started kindergarten last Thursday. She has been so excited for a long time and couldn't wait to start. She has three friends from the ward in her class that she was in preschool with last year. She will have a great time. This is what she said about school, "I get to start kindergarten and have a new little brother all in the same day, isn't that so awesome."
