Moby and Guns
I don't know if this is a boy thing or a Moby thing, but he loves guns!! (I think it is a boy thing.) We went target shooting on New Year's day in Tooele County. Moby wanted to sight in his AR 15. It was cool to shoot in the snow. I could see where my shots were hitting in the snow if I missed the targets. I prefer shooting the 22. The kids had fun hiking and playing in the snow. After they got cold they sat in the car and watched a movie. It was a great way to start the new year, off with a bang.

Project #1
Moby bought me a sewing machine for Christmas. I am so excited. I have wanted to learn how to sew for the longest time. I decided to start with a simple project that was basically sewing in a straight line. I made a car seat canopy for Ben. They are all the rage right now but I just couldn't bring myself to pay $40 or more for one. This project cost me about $8 and took less than three hours (an experienced seamstress probably could have done it in half the time but this was my first project.) I really like the way that it turned out.

Let it snow!!!
Today has been a beautiful, snowy day; but only if you don't have anywhere to go. While Ben was asleep, Julia, Jack and I played in the snow. After playing outside for a few minutes, Grandpa Moffat came outside and took the kids for a walk to play in the snow on the golf course behind their house. They went and made snow angels, threw snow balls and tried to catch snowflakes on their tongues. The kids had a blast and it seemed like Grandpa did too. They love having their Grandparents living next door to us.

Christmas Season
We had a fabulous Christmas season. We read stories, colored pictures, made cookies, had pictures taken, and waited for Santa to come. It seems that every year on Christmas we either forget to take pictures or forget to take video. This year we forgot to take pictures. So hopefully if anyone has Christmas pics with us in them, they will email them to us. Later I will have to take pics of the kids gifts and post them. But here are a few pics of the things that we have done this December.

The Nutcracker
Diane took Julia and me, along with Mattie and Melissa, to see the Nutcracker. It was nice. Julia really liked watching the ballerinas dance and spin. Luckily the ballet had an intermission, Julia got a litle restless near the end of each half. I let her pick out a nutcracker ornament after the ballet was over. She loved it. It was a fun night to spend with her Grandma and Aunts.

November
November has been a busy month. Benjamin was blessed on Sunday, November 8. It was a beautiful blessing. Moby blessed him and Grandpa Price, Uncle Chad, Grandpa Moffat, Great Grandpa Aposhian, and our friend Dan Hufstetler were there to show their love for Ben by standing in the circle. Afterwards we had everyone come to our house for chili and cornbread. Yum Yum.
For Thanksgiving we went to Moby's Aunt Sharon and Uncle Dalton's home. It was beautiful and the food was delicious. Aunt Sharon always makes everyone feel welcomed and loved.
After dinner we went to spend the weekend with my parents. They had booked a condo in Park City for the weekend. My whole family went, minus Ashley and Ken who are living in Hawaii at the moment. (P.S. we really missed you both and wish you were here for the holidays.) We played games, ate yummy food, went shopping on Friday, and played more games. It was an awesome and relaxing weekend. Thank you, Mom and Dad. You are the best parents and definitely the best Grandparents ever!
Sorry, picture overload.
Julia and Jack loved sledding. They wanted to keep going, and going, and going. I love Julia's laugh.
After this Jack said, "I not scared, I go again."
