Thanks Aunt Ash and Ken

"Thank you for the awesome toy Ashley. Thank you for the awesome Hula Ash... and Ken." Love, Jack

He hasn't put the truck down yet. He made sure he had it for his nap and at bedtime. It even went shopping with us yesterday. He loves that truck and the surfboard. He usually calls it a skateboard, though. We miss you guys!!!

Pumpkins

On Monday night, for family home evening, we carved our pumpkins. The kids were so excited. We made them try to get ask much of the guts out as they could on their own. Julia drew her pumpkin's face and Moby cut it out. Jack told us what he wanted and Moby did it. I really suck at carving pumpkins but Moby did a great job. Here is our family of pumpkins. Even little Ben got to have one carved for him.

Pumpkin order left to right: Ben, Jack, Julia, Jenny, and Moby

8 Weeks

Benjamin is 8 weeks old. He is such an angel and a happy baby. He is also quiet, probably our quietest baby. He seems to be growing so much. He is an alert baby. He has started smiling. I love it! If I am having a rough day, all I need to do is hold Ben and see his beautiful smile, then my day is better. He has been sleeping really well. We put him to bed between 9:30-10:30 pm and he will sleep until 4:00-5:00 am. I love it. He has been on this sleeping pattern for about three weeks. During the day he will eat about every two hours to make up for sleeping during the night, but that is fine with me. Here are two pictures of my beautiful smiling Ben.

Handsome Jack

Jackson wore his new shirt and tie to church on Sunday. He is such a big boy. I think he is so handsome but he would not do a normal smile. He was trying to be as goofy as he could. The more I told him to smile normal, the more he smiled goofy. I guess that is a two-year-old for you.

Pumpkin Patch 2009

Last Saturday, Moby, the kids, my Mom, my brother Colton, and I went to the pumpkin patch. Ben was sleeping in the car. It is a fun tradition we have. The kids love being able to run around and pick their own pumpkins. Everyone they touch seems to be better than the last and becomes "the one." We picked five pumpkins, one for each of us, ranged from baby size to daddy size. All of our pumpkins only cost us $14. What a deal! We thought that it would have cost more considering the size of the two larger ones. Next year we will pick even bigger ones! I just love the month of October!!!!! I thought the background on some of the pictures was beautiful, the Jordan River Temple.

Witchy Poo

On October 3, we went to Gardner Village to see the witches. It was fun. We have not been there during October before and the kids loved it. Julia loved going on the scavenger hunt and looking for the witches doing different activities. Her favorite, and the hardest one to find, was the witch hula hooping. Jack loved running around to see all of the witches. But his three favorite things were to dance on the stage, ride on the pony, and eat a pumpkin cookie. Thanks Aunt Ash. We had an awesome time!

Funny Jack

Today, while I was feeding Ben, I realized that Jack was being very quiet. Never a good sign. This is our conversation.
Me: "Jack, what are you doing?"
Jack: "Doing this on my legs."
M: "What does that mean?"
J: "This."
I asked him to come to me and show me. When he came out of his room he had his hand inside the jar of vaseline and had globs of vaseline all up and down his legs. He then told me
J: "I want to exercise, this is for my exercise legs. This is like Ash's exercise legs. For her yoga."
I just had to laugh because I had no idea what he was talking about. Ash, do you lather vaseline on your legs when you exercise and do yoga?!!! Tell me about this new technique, does it work???
