As a farewell to summer we decided to spend Saturday the 22 at Raging Waters. Moby, Jack, Julia, and my brother Colton had a great time. It was a little hot and tiring for me but I am 39 weeks pregnant. Jack and Julia thought that was the best day of the summer. Julia even went on a big kid slide with her Daddy. The first time she wasn't too sure about it but the second time she giggled the whole way down. Jack just loved being in the water. The kids and I were in the lazy river just getting out when Jack decided that he wanted to jump back in. So he did with no one near him. I jumped right back in after him and he did have arm floaters on so he thought it was a blast, but he just about gave me a heart attack. It was a fun way to spend the last Saturday before Moby started school again.
Julia loved this slide!
I made Jack put on his sister's arm floaters after this. Poor kid had to wear pink floaters.

Julia's Haircut
So Julia decided on Thursday night, while she was supposed to be sleeping, that she wanted shorter hair. On Friday morning, after cleaning and playing for about two hours, I noticed that her hair was looking quite weird. (I can be very observant.) I asked her about it and she said she wanted to see what she looked like with short hair. Man, was I upset. I loved her long hair and we had been trying new fun ways to do her hair for school. I was afraid she was going to have it chopped so short it would look like a boy's haircut. There are some pieces in the back that are super short. But thanks to Mindy at Cookie Cutters, her hair is really cute. I like it. It is hard to do though. I am just not used to short hair. Julia loves it, too. As soon as she saw it she said, "Now I look like Aunt Ashley. I can't wait until she can see my new haircut. She will think I look like her."
It used to be all one length.

She really likes it!!!

Photographer Julia
Julia loves to use my camera and take pictures of anything and everything. She is pretty good at it, too. She likes to take pictures of her favorite toys, herself, and Jack and me. Here are just a few of the pictures that she has taken.
New Bed
Jackson has been moved into a big boy bed. He has been so excited. I bought a Thomas the Train bed set a couple of weeks ago because it was on clearance and he has been waiting for us to buy the bed so he could use the Thomas blanket. He loves the bed. He has had it about a week and still gets excited when he sees it. Having his own big boy bed has helped with potty training too. He does great as long as he is in underwear. If I leave a pullup on him he will use that instead of the toilet. He loves his bed!

Icecream
Jack's First Real Blood Squirter!
Last night, Moby went to play softball, so the kids and I went to watch and play at the playground. Within five minutes of being there, Jack said "Mommy, I hurt" and whimpered a little. I walked over to him and at about five feet away noticed that blood was oozing down his face. That sure go me moving fast. I didn't see what happened but I think he was on the top tier of the playground and feel down one tier and split his head open with the stick that he was carrying. He didn't cry. He just wanted to get back up and keep playing. Julia was freaking out much more than he was. After we cleaned him up a little at the park we took him home and put some bandages on his head. He was a trooper. There was about a one inch gash on his forehead, though not too deep. We had to shave a little of his hair to get the bandages to stick. So he will look funny for a while. Today, it looks much better. What an adventure last night was!
Before the shave and clean up.

After the shave.

He looks a little out of it, but he just didn't want me to take the picture.

Julia's 5th Birthday
Julia's 5th birthday was last Sunday. She had two awesome days of parties. On Saturday, we had a party at my parents' house. She was able to invite two friends and they had a pool party. The kids loved it! Moby and I gave her a slip-n-slide. This is the first time the kids have ever played with one. It was a hit, even with the big kid, Uncle Colton. We also had a pinata. My kids were quick at picking up as much candy as they could. They must have sweet teeth like their Mommy. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa Price for having such a fun party.
On Sunday, we woke her up with the "Birthday" song by the Beatles and a special donut breakfast. She was all grins. At church, in primary, they sang a birthday song to her and gave her a little bag of candies. She was so excited about that. She kept telling us about what they do in primary when it is someone's birthday and was so excited that it was her turn. That night we had dinner with Moby's family and a small party. Grandma Moffat made a treasure hunt for Julia to find her presents. She loved it. Julia is truly spoiled and loved. Everyone gave her presents that she loves. Thank you everyone! Julia, Happy Birthday!!!
